Devconnect is the Ethereum Foundation's flagship gathering, and Buenos Aires hosted its largest global edition. Over 19,000 people attended, spanning developers, founders, researchers, and institutional visitors from across the world.
The Challenge
An event of this scale needed press and social coverage that moved at the speed of what was actually happening on the ground, not a recap written after the fact. It also needed to make sense to two very different audiences at once: a technical, global Web3 community, and Argentina's mainstream and institutional press.
Strategy
I built the communications structure from the ground up as part of SEED Latam's institutional role in the event, coordinating real time coverage across press and social channels while keeping the narrative aligned with the Ethereum Foundation's global positioning.
Execution
Daily coordination with the on the ground team, real time social coverage of keynotes and side events, and a press operation built to handle both technical Web3 outlets and mainstream Argentine media in the same week.
Results
- 19,000+ attendees, the largest global edition of Devconnect
- Real time press and social coverage sustained across the full event
- Coverage across mainstream, business, and crypto native press
Learnings
Events at this scale are won or lost in the coordination layer, not the content itself. The story was always there. What mattered was whether the right person could tell it to the right outlet at the right moment.
